It's been a year. Can you believe that?! When you are a kid the years seem to drag on. When you are in school it feels like it will be August forever. When you are an adult it was January 2001 yesterday and wake up today to July 2014.
A small list of things to surprise you how quickly the years have gone by:
20 Years ago:
Lion King went to theaters.
Janet Jackson had her "wardrobe malfunction".
Facebook started.
Friends ended.
There you go. Now you feel like I do.
Anyway, this last year I moved, got two new positions at work, and turned 30. Lots of things have happened but I only have pictures of one event. My new house. It is small and very cozy. If you go to Ikea and look at the smallest living spaces they have, mine is a similar size, just right for me.
My house sits behind my landlord's house. I thought it would be
hard to find for a lot of people but no one has messed up and
gone to my landlords so I guess it isn't an issue. |
| The grill isn't mine, it just lives there on the corner. |
Not sure what the thing is, but this is my bedroom window
from outside. |
| My bathroom window from the outside, and the back of my house. |
| My front door and mailbox. |
| This is the view from my front door. |
The first thing you come across, my
TV and new table. |
The living room and kitchen are
attached. |
| The love-seat I am borrowing. |
My spider plant and the chair I got
from Heather. |
My front door. I love that I have a
screen on it, I can leave it open when
it is raining like it was this day. I love
the sound of the rain on my tin awning. |
| My front window by the door and my spider plant. |
| My bookshelf and makeshift kitchen stand. |
The air-conditioner came with the house and there is a dehumidifier
on the ground, there are no vents in the kitchen and it can get stuffy
in here. I turn it on Sundays to suck the moisture out of the air for
the week. I hate it running all the time, so noisy. |
| My sink. |
| My stove and moving counter. Yes it moves, it has wheels. |
| View from my kitchen. |
My table from Ikea. I love buying things
from there because I can put them together.
I bought the flower pot from Tai Pan. |
| The way to my bedroom is next to my TV. |
| Bedroom door. |
Computer station where I have Heather's kids drawings and
pictures. I still need Kannon added in there. |
My bookshelf and boat I have torn apart.
I am working on making it awesome. |
| Another treasure from Ikea, I got this one a while ago. |
| The window above my bed. |
| The other window above my bed. |
| My dresser and my only closet. |
| My bathroom entrance. |
Behind my bedroom door there is a
little space to put things, I have all my
games here. |
| The cabinet came with the house. |
| My bathroom. |
Gus's box and the shells Amanda
gave me. |
Leading back into my bedroom.
